Building Information Modelling (BIM) is the collaborative work methodology for the creation and management of a construction project through a digital model. Its objective is to centralize all areas of the development of a construction project, including the installations, and taking advantage of the work carried out by all the agents involved.

imagen 785x275px ENG

Within the complexity of the development of a project, the electrical, plumbing and air conditioning installations acquire a higher degree of coordination that goes beyond the initial approach and design. This coordination is also required during the construction phase, where the cooperation of industrialists from the different disciplines is essential.
With this working method, it is possible to create a large database to manage the elements that form part of the infrastructure throughout its life cycle. This cycle can be divided into 7 dimensions that incorporate geometric (3D), time (4D), cost (5D), environmental (6D) and maintenance (7D) information.

A crucial advantage of the BIM system is the immediate updating of the planimetry shared with other users. Any changes can be captured immediately and be seen and considered by the different disciplines involved in a project.

The main benefits of this work methodology are:
1. Time reduction.
2. Transparency.
3. Quality and security.
4. Increased energy efficiency.
5. Cost reduction.

Since 2016, our I+D department has constantly invested in the development of a work environment based on BIM technology with the determination of the rules and requirements of each project.
We are specifically a good component library that describes our products, generated with Autodesk BIM REVIT software. This allows us to make a more precise, real and specific computer-assisted installation design.

It is currently mandatory in many countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. In Spain, following European directives, a precise reference is made in Law 9/2017 on Public Sector Contracts stating that "contracting authorities may require the use of electronic tools, such as digital building information modelling (BIM) tools or similar tools". As of the end of 2018, in order to give new impetus to the BIM implementation process in the country, the Council of Ministers approved through Royal Decree 1515/2018 the creation of the Interministerial Commission for the incorporation of BIM methodology in public procurement.
Furthermore, the digitization of construction is a key aspect in sustainable development and is included in the 2030 Agenda, specifically in goals 9 and 11 set by the UN.

This tool is a remarkable evolution of traditional design systems based on plans and represents an improvement in the representation of the constructive reality of building projects. BIM methodology is the present and future of public works contracting in Spain, Europe and much of the world.

Today, the World Water Day, at Morgui Clima we want to join the campaign to raise awareness of the importance of this limited resource. This year's slogan is "Valuing water".
Nowadays, water is an extremely threatened resource due to population growth, the ever-increasing demand from the agricultural and industrial sectors, and the increasingly serious effects of climate change.

Water Recirculation Module
At Morgui Clima we try to do our bit to save water with our products. One example is the automatic water recirculation module of exclusive Morgui design. By means of a mechanical filtration and another by decantation, this module makes it possible to use the water coming from the grease filtration systems by means of atomised water. It can be complemented with a control panel that includes control and regulation controls, potentiometers and pilot lights for control, breakdown, cleaning and optionally also frequency variable drives for water pressure control. With this control panel we make the equipment even more efficient.

Grease separator
This recirculation module has a grease separator as a central element. Animal fats and vegetable oils must not be discharged into the sewage system, as they would clog the pipes. Manufactured according to the European technical standard EN 1825 and German DIN 4040, separators with nominal capacities of 0.3, 0.5 and 2 l/s are available.
The water enters the separator via an elongated baffle which allows a slow and uniform distribution of the incoming flow. Fats and oils are separated and rise to the surface by gravity. During the operation, a floating layer is generated becoming thicker and when the maximum storage volume is reached, the fats have to be removed. In restaurants, we can calculate the requirements based on the number of meals per day. For example, a restaurant with 150 meals per day uses a flow rate of 2 l/s.
It is a compact and functional design finished in stainless steel and requires little maintenance.

The water recirculation module is designed to save water consumption in water filtration systems such as a Morgui HIDRO hood or Morgui wet filtration modules. These options are especially recommended for wood or charcoal cookers, rotisseries or high temperature extractions.
You will find more information on these two products by clicking below.

We are driven by the will to be sustainable and therefore to offer you the best options so that you can be sustainable too!

Ventilation is a current issue these days. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has awakened us about this topic. Now, everyone agrees on how vital is to have good ventilation and air quality in closed spaces.
Thanks to the scientific investigation, we have evidence that the transmission of the virus is basically through air.

If the air is not sufficiently renewed and there is one infected person in an enclosed space, the concentration of the virus will increase and thus, the risk of infection. In order to reduce this risk, it is necessary to ventilate indoor places as much as possible. The more ventilation, the lower the likelihood of infection. It is crucial to consider ventilation as an effective disease prevention measure.

Ventilation of an enclosed area means the renewal of air with air from outside. The Health Department of the Catalan Government recommends maintaining the maximum supply of outside air, by means of natural ventilation and/or air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems that allow the supply of outside air.

The number of air renewals/hour necessary according to the volume and number of occupants of a room, which is equivalent to the air renewal criterion of 12.5 litres per second per person, can be calculated by applying the following formula:

ACH= 12.5 l/person/second x Number of persons x 3600 per hour x 0.001 m³/litre / Volume (m³)

This regulation applies to fixed air-conditioning installations in new buildings and when these installations are refurbished.

How to determine the required ventilation of a room?
A carbon dioxide (CO₂) sensor can be used to assess the ventilation of a room. The increase in CO₂ measurement in indoor environments relative to outdoor air is used as an indicator parameter for air quality, since when a building is occupied, indoor CO₂ concentrations increase due to the exhalation of the occupants.

Indoor air quality improvement systems
The incorporation of air purifiers with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters improves indoor air quality and retains particles that can contain viruses. HEPA filters retain between 85% and 99.99% of particles from 0.3 microns, depending on the type of filter. To guarantee that they retain 99.99%, they must comply with the UNE-EN 1822-1:2010 Standard Absolute filters (EPA, HEPA and ULPA).
